Four (4) credits at GCE 'O' Level/WASSCE including English, mathematics or Statistics. Candidates without the above qualifications but with at least five years' experience in population related work may apply.

The minimum requirements for admission into the faculty are five credits, with Grade C5 or better in English Language and Mathematics. In addition, they must have at least 3 social science subjects with a minimum of 5/CS e.g. Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Economics, Commerce etc. Same requirement applies as for Bachelor of Social Science
